What’s the last show you played?

Montclair, Calif. June 12, 2021 with THE HARDKNOCKS, 21 GUN SALUTE and ROMPE CABEZAS. 

What are you currently listening to on repeat?

Sabbath, always Sabbath.

What’s your favorite record store?

Radiation Records in Fullerton. 

First ever record you bought? 

Johnny Cash, “Live at San Quentin.”

What’s the best and worst show Vile Life has ever played? 

Best-Probably the most recent multi-location show we did with THE RUNTS, BARRAGE, SELF SABOTAGE, RISK and CORRUPTED YOUTH. 

Worst-Playing a riverbed with no PA, no lights but Xmas lights on the ground and the generator dies. Ya just have to laugh and keep on going. It was an experience for sure. 

If someone asked you to describe Vile Life in one sentence….? 

Well since you asked... a mix of sounds that we decide go together well and hope others do too. 

What instrument did you learn first and why? 

Guitar.  My father. He played flamenco style and I was always amazed at how he did it. 

How do you define success when it comes to being in a band?

Finding out that people dig what you’re making and willing to support you. Even if on a small scale, it’s a success.  

When you’re not doing something for one of the bands you’re in, you are…? 

Watching horror movies, classic WWF/WWE, writing and working in the cannabis industry.  

Worst part about 2020? 

Losing so many people I cared for. 

Best part of 2021 so far? 

Hasn’t happened yet. 

Social media – love it or hate it? 

Necessary evil. 

Most annoying thing you see bands/people doing on social media? 

Pick one. 

What’s the app you use the most on your phone?

WhatsApp for work.

What’s something most people don’t know about you that they’d find surprising/interesting? 

I run a horror and pop culture website in my spare time. [Macabredaily.com]
