Lance, vocals
So how long have you guys been around?
Lance: We’re all 18 except for him. We’ve been around for a few months. We were a jam band before. This is basically two separate jam bands. We became friends with this dude that plays bass. He’s not here tonight, but we became friends because of that. We started jamming and were, like, let’s make a band. That was in late June of this year.
Where are you pulling influences from?
L: I’d say garage because we all like different stuff. He’s really into indie. He’s into everything. We’re all pretty well rounded in what music we like. I listen to a lot of punk. He listens to a lot of classic rock same with our bass player. So we’re trying to figure out what works for us.
And you’re local?
L: We’re from Tustin.
You’re a relatively young band but any standout moments from this year?
L: Astro Lizard [Records, out of Long Beach] wants us to record a song next month. That’s pretty big.
What can we expect from you next year?
L: We’re just trying to get the EP finished and get more shows and have fun.
Why should people check you guys out?
L: Because we’re different. We don’t even like saying what genre we are. We like to do what we want.
